2026 Spring Programs

Registration is open!

Spring is the time to slow things down and actually build your game.

Spring shouldn’t just be about playing more games or skating through drills. During the season, most athletes are focused on systems, lineups, and results. That often means the technical details of skill development get pushed aside.

At Empower Hockey, we use this window to focus on the fundamentals that drive long-term improvement. Our sessions are process-oriented and athlete-focused, designed to help players understand their development rather than simply chasing reps.

Athletes won’t just fly through drills. We provide constant feedback and clear teaching, helping players understand why they are doing something, what the skill requires, and how to execute it properly.

Throughout the program we break down key areas such as skating, shooting, and decision making, using progressions that make skills easier to understand and apply in real game situations. Our goal is to help athletes develop the awareness and understanding needed to take ownership of their own game.

We believe strongly in long-term athlete development. Spring is an opportunity to build habits and technical foundations that will pay off for years to come.

Don’t waste the spring season simply skating fast without improving anything. Use it to build skills that actually move your game forward

Designed with multisport in mind

At Empower Hockey, we celebrate the benefits of a multi sport approach. Recognizing the dynamic needs of young athletes, our Spring Program is designed to harmonize with other sporting commitments. We champion the multisport athlete, understanding that diversity in sports fosters versatility, resilience, and a broader skill set that benefits overall athletic development.

Flexibility for the Multisport Athlete:

Our schedule is intentionally crafted to accommodate the multisport lifestyle, offering flexible pay per training sessions that allow athletes to pursue excellence in hockey without sacrificing their passion or potential in other disciplines. This approach ensures that athletes can enjoy a rich, varied sporting experience during the spring, laying a well-rounded foundation for athletic and personal growth.

The Science Behind Multisport Success:

A landmark study published in the Journal of Sports Sciences highlights the significant advantages of multi-sport participation, including improved motor development, better overall fitness, and reduced injury rates. The research underscores that athletes who engage in multiple sports, especially during their developmental years, exhibit enhanced cognitive and physical abilities, translating to superior performance in their primary sport. In the short term, multisport athletes show greater adaptability and creativity; long-term benefits include prolonged athletic careers and a deeper love for physical activity.

Spring: A Season of Recovery and Foundation Building:

We align our program with the natural cycle of athletic development. Spring is the season for recovery, allowing bodies and minds to rejuvenate after the rigors of a full season. It's also a time for building a robust foundation, focusing on the fundamentals of hockey in a way that complements the skills gained from other sports. This strategic approach ensures that when summer arrives, our athletes are primed for intensive training, equipped with a diverse skill set and a refreshed, eager mindset.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Full refund minus $75 admin fee up until 10 days prior to program start

  • 50% partial refund for cancellations within 10 days of program start

  • No cancellations after program start – students are expected to attend all sessions as no makeup sessions will be provided

Spring Philosophy

At Empower Hockey, we understand that the journey to excellence on the ice begins with a solid foundation. Our Spring Program is meticulously designed for young athletes who are ready to deepen their understanding of hockey, refine their skills, and elevate their game to extraordinary heights. Here's why our program stands out and why it's the perfect choice for your aspiring hockey star.

Attention to Every Detail:

What separates a good player from a great one is often the mastery of the finer points of the game. In our Spring Program, we dive into the nuances that make all the difference – the small adjustments in technique, the strategic positioning, and the split-second decisions that can change the course of a game. Our expert coaches are committed to providing the repetitions and feedback necessary for each player to refine their skills, ensuring they leave our program with a competitive edge.

From Solid Foundations to Advanced Skills:

With a strong emphasis on building from the ground up, our program is designed to progress athletes from fundamental skills to advanced techniques. We understand the importance of laying a deep foundation upon which more complex skills can be developed. Our structured progression ensures that as players master the basics, they are gradually introduced to more challenging aspects of the game, fostering continuous growth and development.

A Commitment to Excellence:

We believe in nurturing not just skilled athletes but committed individuals who understand the value of hard work, dedication, and continuous improvement. Our program is tailored for players who are passionate about hockey and driven to enhance their game. We foster an environment that encourages hard work, resilience, and a positive attitude, qualities that will serve them well both on and off the ice.
